Our Commitment
Prescrivia is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities. We are continually improving the user experience for everyone and applying the relevant accessibility standards.
Standards
We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with a wide range of disabilities.
Accessibility Features
Visual
- Sufficient colour contrast ratios meeting WCAG 2.1 AA (minimum 4.5:1 for text)
- Resizable text without loss of content or functionality
- Alternative text for all meaningful images
- Clear visual focus indicators for all interactive elements
- No information conveyed solely through colour
Motor
- Full keyboard navigation support throughout the platform
- Skip-to-content links for easy navigation
- No time-dependent interactions (except clinical session timeouts for security)
- Touch targets meeting minimum size requirements
Cognitive
- Clear, consistent navigation structure
- Plain language throughout (medical terms are explained)
- Breadcrumb navigation showing your location in the site
- Progress indicators in multi-step processes
- Clear error messages with suggestions for correction
Auditory
- No audio content that plays automatically
- Video content includes captions where applicable
Keyboard Navigation
All interactive elements on our platform can be accessed using keyboard controls:
- Tab — Move to the next interactive element
- Shift + Tab — Move to the previous interactive element
- Enter / Space — Activate buttons and links
- Escape — Close dialogs and menus
- Arrow keys — Navigate within menus and accordion components
Reduced Motion
Our platform respects the prefers-reduced-motion operating system setting. When
enabled, animations, transitions, and auto-playing content are disabled or reduced.
Multi-Language Support
Our platform is available in 14 EU languages. Language selection is available at account level and applies to all platform content, including medical questionnaires and communications.
Known Limitations
While we strive for full accessibility, some areas may have limitations:
- Some third-party embedded content may not fully meet accessibility standards
- PDF documents generated by the system may have limited screen reader support
- Video consultations rely on third-party (Jitsi) accessibility support
